Wire
Injection Systems - Advantages
Advantages of
Cored Wire Injection Process

- Precision in the
quantity of additives. This is critical to ensure that the properties
of the finished steel is the same as that which is achieved in laboratory
tests. Consistency through a better measurement and process control
results.
- Injection at the
critical depth. Addition of elements to the steel must be done at a
depth that enables its uniform dispersion in the molten metal. Addition
by other manual processes does not ensure this. Cored wire injection
takes the additive elements to a critical depth before they are released
in a steady and controlled manner.
- Cost effectiveness.
Since the quantity and depth of dispersion is precise, substantial cost
savings can be achieved through optimum use of additive material, less
rejection in the alloying process and higher recovery of alloying additives.
- Savings in labour
costs through automation of the injection process
